We are celebrating 10,000 members in our community!

We are very excited and proud to announce that we have hit an important milestone in our relatively short history of The Digital Insurer.  At the end of April 2016, we hit 10,000 Digital Insurance members! That’s 10,000 people from all over the globe who are interested in the topic of Digital Insurance and who read and receive our content for free.

Our rate of growth is increasingly rapidly as we globalise our efforts and we continue to add hundreds of new people to our community each month.  Our geographic spread is also diversifying and evolving from a strong Asia foothold to a more global presence with the number of members joining in Europe and North America particularly increasing since the start of 2016.  We expect this trend to continue and to intensify throughout the rest of the year as we launch a number of new initiatives to further drive our growth.  Watch this space over the coming weeks!

In the mean time, we thought we’d share some interesting facts about the number 10,000.  Did you know that:

• In anatomy, each neuron in the human brain is estimated to connect to 10,000 others
• In mathematics, a myriagon is a polygon with 10,000 sides
• In computers, NASA built a 10,000-processor Linux computer (it is actually a 10,240-processor) called Columbia
• In training, 10,000 hours of adequate practice are necessary to achieve world class skills in any activity
