This IDC Financial Insights' Perspective shares consolidated survey findings showcasing how regional Asia insurers intend to enhance customer outreach, their planned shift in distribution mix, and the hindrances to going digital.
These results are based on a quick onsite poll on 16 unique insurers across seven regional markets that we conducted at the LIMRA's Asia Distribution Conference held in Singapore late last year, which featured presentations and breakout sessions exploring distribution strategies in the digital world.
Given the fundamental realignment of the insurance industry and the new game, rules, and reality within which the Asia/Pacific carriers are competing, we took that opportunity to gather a first-hand pulse of how insurers were prepping themselves for the digital revolution and in ensuring multichannel, multitouch interactions with customers.
