This timely report by HAKUHODO emphasizes on acceptance and growing usage of smart phones in Asia. The key highlights of the survey are:

• At least 90% of people own either a mobile phone or a smart phone in all 14 Asian cities.
• The majority of users of smart phones are in their 20s and they use them primarily as a social media tool.
• TV, computer and smart phone have become the Big Three media for communication and information gathering in cities with high smart phone ownership (Seoul, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taipei).
