Youse is a Brazilian startup launched in 2015 that offers Caixa Seguradora’s home, auto and life insurance. Caixa Seguradora, as Brazil’s fifth largest insurance company, has launched this digital platform to distribute personalised insurance policies in a matter of minutes through website or mobile and without the need to consult an insurance broker during the process – making the service faster and eliminating intermediary steps.
‘Youse Friends’ is a free rewards program created for people who have Youse Auto Insurance (Yousers) to earn points which can then can be exchanged for cash prizes, in addition to contribute to better traffic.
It works in an intuitive manner: users assemble a group of friends or family and together they encourage each other to drive more responsibly in order to receive reward points, which can be exchanged for cash after 12 months.

Although P2P insurance has evolved significantly since UK based Guevara closed its operations, several incumbent insurers in emerging markets, such as Brazil, are using similar rewards programs to overcome hurdles to ensure differentiation and innovation.
