MSIG Insurance, the first in Singapore to use video tech to optimise motor claims process

MSIG Insurance has partnered with communications tool Wavecell and claims management software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider Merimen to launch a video interaction pilot program to help MSIG optimize its motor claims process.

The video interaction tool aims to transform the damage survey process and help insurers achieve increased survey efficiency and related cost savings

Merimen specializes in Claims Management Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) for the motor insurance industry whilst TrueSight Interactive allows insurers to enhance their claims process, improve efficiency and make their way into digital transformation one step at a time. The tool allows survey agents to launch a video call on their web browser through a simple link helping them to complete claim assessments in a few minutes. The technology offers remote camera control, annotation, and geolocation features, which cut costs and maximise the efficiency of claims surveyors. The solution also allows to record high definition images in real time and reduces the risk of remote survey frauds.

Ultimately, as the standard of online interaction tools improves, insurers will be able to bring more O2O interactions into their traditional offline distribution and claims processing activities.
