The group has launched a new online underwriting tool which helps in providing accurate, real-time underwriting quotes. The self-service tool is called Spectra and it leverages existing automated underwriting guidelines to provide advisors quotes on behalf of clients covering more than 200 medical, vocational and occupational risks, without the need to email or call a Lincoln underwriter.
Advisors can access Spectra 24X7 for instantaneous quotes on insurance products for clients. It has a simple and intuitive user interface which makes it easy to access and has tracking capabilities to allow advisors and underwriters to link the quote to formal case submissions. The tool can also provide a range of quotes if the full details of a client’s impairments are not known.

Recently, Lincoln has rolled out a mobile platform for customers to review their underwriting medical exam and laboratory results, the expansion of its automated underwriting technology, and the launch of a unified life insurance application and case tracker for advisors.
