InsurTech Lami has launched a new application called Griffin Motor App targeting over 1 million drivers in Kenya.
Drivers will be able to buy car insurance in a few clicks via the app. The policy wordings will be clear and transparent and can avail bespoke car insurance products with adjustable periods and coverage amounts. The policies can also paused, downgraded, or upgraded as and when needed.
The app also features a help button which commands the system to dispatch ambulances, towing trucks or security teams nearest to the motorists across the country as needed. Its digital claims system allows users to file claims using their phones.
The application is available in Android Play and the Apple App stores.
Jihan Abass, founder, CEO Lami InsurTech said: “The application targets to digitise car insurance for over 1 million Kenyan drivers who have to go through long queues to be served. This is very exciting for Lami. It’s been our dream to bring insurance products to smartphone users.”
