HDFC ERGO, India’s third largest non-life insurance provider has launched its Mobile Insurance Portfolio Organiser (IPO) Apple Watch app. This app makes it easy for HDFC ERGO customers to access policy details, check their claims status and stay connected with the customer support team, all with just a few taps of their wrist.
The app offers an easily navigable dashboard on the Apple Watch through which policyholders can access information like policy details, health card data and policy renewal reminders. Furthermore, with the help of the Apple Watch’s geo-location feature, the app can instantly navigate users to the nearest HDFC ERGO Branch as well as guiding policy holders to the nearest ERGO network hospitals and car repair outlets, offering cashless services.
According to Mehmood Mansoori, member of executive management and group head at HDFC ERGO: “Our aim is to provide one more avenue for technology savvy customer to have important information about their policies at their fingertips. We understand the power of technology and invest substantially in it to simplify things and take the customer experience to the next level.”
It’s worth noting that HDFC ERGO is intended to compliment ERGO’s existing iOS and Android apps that currently offer a range of features including real-time consultation with ERGO and data driven cross selling of ERGO’s property insurance product range.
