Goji provides auto insurance comparison for the U.S market. It positions itself as “the largest online, independent auto insurance agency in the US”. The challenge for US aggregators has been that American insurers prefer to deal with consumers directly. For example, Leaky.com tried to establish an aggregation platform in 2012 by scraping policies and premiums from insurers websites. The reaction from All State Geico and others was swift litigation and Leaky was quietly folded in 2013. Goji combines a data platform with unbiased, friendly, and personalised guidance to let people quickly compare auto insurance options across more than a dozen major carriers and purchase the policy that best fits their needs.
Eight years in the business gives Goji the experience and proprietary data needed to provide the fastest and most accurate quote estimates in the industry.
How Goji works?
To re-assert its commitment to reinventing the way people shop for car insurance, Goji launched an online rate estimator in 2014 to instantly provide a personalised, side-by-side comparison of auto insurance policy options from over a dozen major carriers. Importantly, Goji’s agents aren’t insurance salespeople. Rather, they are unbiased licensed advisors available to provide objective guidance on which policy to choose, how much coverage is needed and more.
Goji is attempting to combine digital technology and services to scale its offering as one of the most accurate and efficient digital insurance platforms in the U.S auto insurance. Although it has so far succeeded to establish itself, it will be interesting to watch how the company scales and expands in the competitive US P&C market.
