Gojek which is an Indonesian ride-hailing app, has collaborated with InsurTech called PasarPolis to launch a digital insurance solution for its users. The range of offerings include travel insurance, motor vehicle insurance, and mobile device protection.
The solution was launched in October 2019. GoSure leverages Gojek’s Third Party Platform, which offers services including digital donations, ecommerce, news, health, and gaming.
Gojek also partnered with AIA in 2019 to provide life and health insurance services and wellness propositions to its users, drivers, and merchants.
This comes at a time when its rival Grab acquired Bento, which is a robo-advisory firm, to launch GrabInvest as part of its plans to expand into wealth and asset management solutions in Singapore.
“One of Gojek’s long-term growth strategies from the beginning has been to build partnerships and services that will deliver greater value to consumers. The positive response and exponential transaction growth during GoSure’s beta phase affirm our belief that easy access to a variety of insurance products is what consumers want,” said Sony Radhityo, head of Third Party Platform at Gojek.
