FutureMove is a Beijing based startup that provides telematics and advanced analytics to a wide range of transportation entities including car manufacturers and public transport networks.
Although there are several telematics providers in China, FutureMove has differentiated itself by combining on board telematics software with advanced analytics, this makes FutureMove deployable by local governments in China that are struggling to deal with road congestion.
The primary function of FutureMove is delivered through its flagship product DreamMove, an EV monitoring platform that provides the following features for for electric vehicle manufacturers:
- Smart terminal vehicle control; to update available cars in service, optimise pickup times and match supply to demand.
- Location based processing of user queries through a mobile app.
- App for users to identify different mobility use cases.
- Demand prediction and scheduling management.
- Identify the optimal route given traffic and match supply demand and load re-balancing.
Telematics platform:
The second arm of FutureMove is a white label telematics offering that provides car manufacturers with everything from vehicle performance data to driving behaviour analysis and route planning.
Of course, most car manufacturers including Ford, BMW and Toyota have developed their own telematics platforms. For these OEMs, FutureMove has launched JoyMove to provide telematics support such as maintenance, upgrade delivery and redundant system support for car manufacturers and mobility providers including governments and customized operation solutions for OEM. The JoyMove platform covers the entire life cycle from service launch, preparation to last operation.
CYBERMove is a Human Machine Interface (HMI) that presents navigation, real-time traffic, voice command, voice car status info, and e-call assistance functionality to drivers.
As cyber security has emerged as a key challenge for autonomous and semi-autonomous vehicles, FutureMove can enhance OEMs existing telematics solutions to maximize the security through private cloud offerings.
In addition to JoyMove, FutureMove has launched CloudMove to help OEMs to launch added services. Furthermore, Audi have just announced a new ride sharing initiative in Chinese cities which is operating on Futuremove telematics platform for route optimization and car allocation.
Ultimately, as electric car sharing will rely heavily on telematics to deliver a credible alternative to public transportation and private cars, companies that can combine both telematics and analytics to enable demand prediction will play a crucial role in the connected mobility era.
