Claim Di App in Thailand to speed up car insurance claims

Claim Di is a mobile application that enables car owners in Thailand to communicate directly with their insurance company. In the case of a car accident, drivers can not only communicate with their insurer, but also submit a claim in real time through photos and video imagery. The underlying technology is developed by Anywhere 2 Go, a company committed to developing enterprise mobile solutions. Additionally, Claim Di users can even file minor collision claims with the new feature, K4K, “knock for knock”, by simply shaking their phones next to each other. Drivers can complete their own transactions by simply taking pictures and uploading them to the insurance company. The insurance companies of both sides will issue claim reports via the Claim Di platform.

The first companies to offer Claim Di K4K claims management are AXA, Bangkok Insurance, Chubb Samaggi Insurance, Deves Insurance, Generali Insurance, LMG Insurance, Muangthai Insurance, Thai Setakij Insurance, Thaisri Insurance, and Thanachart Insurance.

Ultimately, Claim Di is the first step towards a fully integrated and digital claims management in the auto insurance market. Although loss adjusters may balk at the notion of instant claims settlement on the basis of a photograph, this initiative provides a glimpse of a clear trend.
