To protect US and Canadian commercial enterprises during cyber breach, Chubb launched a new Cyber Alert mobile application designed to give customers rapid incident response actions and resources in the event of a cyber incident.
Cyber Alert app requires users to create personal profiles with detailed policy and claim information required to speed up response times following a cyber incident. Once an event is reported, users can upload photos to response coaches that will investigate the impact and manage legal or regulatory concerns. Chubb’s Cyber Alert app can be used by individuals or be integrated into larger corporate incident response plans, according to the company.
Policyholders can access the app with a click of a button, with access to a live cyber response specialist and an incident response coach, who will investigate the impact of the event, manage any legal or regulatory concerns, and organize additional incident response services as needed. The cyber response team comprises of independent third-party service providers, who can be contacted via smartphone and web in the event of a breach. The app is available real-time 24/7.
Anthony Dolce, Chubb, VP, Cyber Claims Lead has said of Chubb’s Cyber Alert: “The first few hours and days following a cyber incident are the most critical. Being ready to respond and immediately engaging your incident response team can make all the difference in mitigating losses associated with a cyber incident.“
