Cathay Century’s My Mobicare App helps auto customers involved in a car accident 

To better serve their policyholders, Cathay Century Insurance launched its My Mobicare app in September 2013, the first mobile application in Taiwan’s Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance industry that combines positioning, photo shooting and instant contact to help policyholders involved in traffic accidents.

The My MobiCare app helps customers deal with a car accident by providing step-by-step guidance to record the scene of the accident and collect all the necessary information in order to assure the customer’s rights and interests.

As a true product of the digital age, My Mobicare also integrates with the back-end customer service support processes. All Cathay Century Insurance Auto customers can be connected directly to the customer service centre during working hours. The customer service staff will call back within three minutes to help customers in distress. If necessary, claims personnel will visit the accident site immediately to handle claims.

The app was primarily designed to help drivers to deal with car accidents, build an additional communication channel, enhance customer satisfaction and promote corporate image. The app has had 50,000+ downloads (as at June-2015) from the Google play store.
