Mobility has been a key strategic imperative for AIA Malaysia and in 2013 it introduced the Integrated Digital Platform, an iPad-based suite of applications which acts as a mobile office for all AIA Malaysia Life Planners. The platform is a combination of a Point-of-Sale solution, iResources, ePolicy, ePayment, iServe, eRecruitment, and eLearning modules.
The integrated platform has enabled the true digital transformation of the agent channel and provides key benefits in terms of ease of doing business, promoting paperless, anytime and anywhere transactions, faster turn-around time and straight-through-processing via automated underwriting.
iPoS which is the core module of the Integrated Digital Platform, enables policies to be underwritten and processed in less than an hour. The module not only reduces the processing time from the conventional two to three weeks to an hour, but also reduces the carbon footprint as the entire process is paperless.
AIA’s mobility initiative has been immensely successful and AIA Malaysia has seen growth in key areas following the roll out of its digital platform. Close to 90% of AIA Life Planners are now using the Interactive Digital Platform to facilitate sales.  87% of total new business cases are getting submitted electronically and 70% of cases are getting underwritten without any human intervention.
