Aflac, a leading provider of supplemental insurance in the US (covers risks that major medical insurance doesn’t cover) has deployed VUE’s distribution management suite. This implementation will consolidate Aflac’s individual and group systems onto a single platform – modernising Aflac’s administrative and distribution processes and giving both divisions one-click access to real-time data about policy holders. The consolidation of these previously siloed systems will allow Aflac to modify its processes to execute sales strategies. VUE will also enable Aflac to streamline their entire distribution channel and automate the on boarding process for new policy holders.
CEO of VUE Software, Stephen Bruno, said: “We are thrilled to add Aflac to our VUE family. The opportunity to have a working relationship with such an outstanding, forward-thinking company as Aflac is very exciting for us. Being in business for 25 years, we have developed a proven system that can handle complex business models and hierarchies. We are looking forward to sharing ideas and working toward Aflac’s continued development.”

With VUE’s highly configurable platform and modular approach, Aflac can now quickly modify its processes to execute distribution and sales strategies
Ultimately, one challenge that legacy insurers are still grappling with is the need to transition legacy IT systems and software development methods to cloud based iterative models that can compete with startups unencumbered by on premise hardware and tiered management approval processes. Partnerships such as this between Aflac and VUE are a ready made solution to insurers IT upgrade woes, however, instilling a startup mentality with insurers’ digital insurance divisions is an entirely different undertaking.
