Ace sells insurance to customers in Brazil through telecom service provider Vivo where customers can purchase insurance simply by paying the premium along with their telecom bill.
For example, Vivo pre-paid customers can purchase Ace insurance through scratch-card top-ups which are still used by half of its customers. For post-paid customers, Vivo uses double billing, where a separate optional insurance bill is included in the same envelope as the monthly bill and insurance can be purchased simply by paying the bill.
This insurance product is indeed a great example of evolving partnerships in the emerging digital landscape where both customers and service providers benefit without incurring additional costs.
