2014 LIMRA / LOMA Asia Distribution Conference
The Digital insurer is pleased to have been invited as a keynote speaker at the LIMRA / LOMA conference in Singapore in November.
Conference Review
The theme of the conference is firmly digital and is captured by Bryan Smith, the conference chairman, in his welcome letter:
“The 2014 Singapore conference will focus on the increasing importance of technological innovations across distribution channels (both life and non-life). There is no question that
a “digital edge” can help you attract and keep customers and agents, enhance channel performance, and more. The planned session topics illustrate the many ways
companies are using technology to gain competitive advantage.”
The conference has a limited number of speakers and devotes a lot of time to break-out sessions on key distribution channels lead by industry leaders from the region. This format is often productive as it allows attendees to share their experiences and ask direct questions in a smaller session.
The Digital Insurers Closing Keynote Speech
The speech is titled ‘digital thinking to transform the insurance industry in Asia’.
The main thrust of the talk will be to make the case that “no change” in this new digital world is the most dangerous option and insurers need to aggressively transform face-to-face models as well as explore new digital models.
The talk will cover the unstoppable digital trends that make change impossible to ignore and will then explore strategies and solutions using digital thinking.
The session is scheduled for an hour so we have added two Q&A sessions and we are hoping for some lively discussions.
