The Digital Insurer was very pleased and honoured to be invited to present and facilitate a session on Digital Insurance at AXA’s Annual Corporate Meeting at Kuala Lumpur in November 2012.
The Digital Insurer presented on the theme of the Digital Advisor (similar to the presentation at the recent CIO summit in Singapore).
There was an interesting exchange of views and presentations on the topic from a number of AXA executives. What was very clear is that there is no “single size fits all” approach to Digital Insurance : for example, digital solutions that work for motor direct for example do not translate directly into a digital approach for transforming advisory salesforces. However, what was also very clear is the need to allow innovation and experimentation – and cross fertilisation of ideas can only help to plant the seed of ideas that will create new waves of innovation.
My personal observation was that there were high levels of engagement in digital insurance from senior executives and this must help to position AXA well in the years ahead.
